Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit our website or get in touch, what we do with it and how long we keep it.

If you have any questions about your information or this policy, just drop us a line.

What we collect

When you get in touch

If you fill in our contact form, email us or contact us another way, we’ll receive the information you choose to send us. This will usually include:

  • your name;

  • your email address or phone number;

  • the business you work for; and

  • anything you tell us about your project or enquiry.

We use this information to respond, discuss your project and, where relevant, prepare a proposal or begin working together.

When you visit our website

Like most websites, ours may collect some basic technical information about your visit. This might include your IP address, browser or device type, the pages you visited and the date and time of your visit. We may use website analytics to understand how people find and use the site, and to help us keep it working properly. Where cookies require your permission, we’ll ask before using them.

If you join our mailing list

We don’t currently operate a regular mailing list. If we introduce one, you’ll be able to choose whether you want to join it.

If you sign up, we’ll use the details you provide, usually your name and email address—to send occasional updates, useful things and new work from the studio. We won’t bombard you, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Submitting a project enquiry won’t automatically add you to a marketing list.

Why we use your information

Under data protection law, we need a valid reason for using your information.

For enquiries and potential projects, we use it because you’ve asked us to respond or because it is necessary to discuss or begin a contract with you.

We may also use information where we have a legitimate business interest—for example, to run and protect our website, maintain business relationships and understand how the site is being used.

For optional marketing emails and non-essential cookies, we’ll rely on your consent where the law requires it. You can change your mind at any time.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell your personal information.

We may share it with trusted companies that help us run the agency and website. These might include our website host, contact-form provider, email platform, analytics provider, cloud-storage services and professional advisers.

They should only use your information to provide their services to us and must keep it appropriately protected.

Some of these providers may process information outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, we’ll make sure an appropriate legal safeguard is in place.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only for as long as we reasonably need it.

If you make an enquiry that doesn’t turn into a project, we’ll generally keep the details for up to two years in case you come back to us. Information connected with client work, contracts or payments may need to be kept for longer for legal, tax or accounting reasons.

If we introduce a mailing list, we’ll keep your details until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove them. We may then keep a minimal record so we know not to contact you again.

Your rights

You have rights over your personal information. Depending on the circumstances, you can ask us to:

  • show you the information we hold about you;

  • correct something that is wrong;

  • delete your information;

  • restrict or object to how we use it; or

  • provide certain information in a portable format.

You can also withdraw your consent at any time where we rely on it.

To do any of this, email us at hello@proofcreative.ie. We may need to confirm your identity first.

If something doesn’t feel right, please contact us and we’ll do our best to sort it out. You can also make a complaint to the Irish Data Protection Commission at www.dataprotection.ie.

Cookies

Our website may use essential cookies to make it work. If we use optional analytics, advertising or other cookies, we’ll explain this through our cookie banner and ask for permission where required.

A quick note about security

We take reasonable steps to keep your information safe. That said, no website or online service can promise complete security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if our website, services or the way we use information changes. The latest version will always be available here.
